NORTH COUNTRY SEARCH & RESCUE
We assist with search, rescue and recovery efforts during emergencies and missing person incidents, working alongside law enforcement, other emergency responders and community organizations during times of crisis.
Get involved.
Our volunteers regularly train in search tactics, navigation, first aid, K9 handling, radio communications, land navigation and emergency response.
Volunteers may assist with ground search operations, K9 handling and support, navigation and mapping, communications and radio operations, fundraising and outreach, training events, administrative support and community education.
Our team includes trained ground searchers, K9 handlers and volunteers who are committed to helping when people go missing or emergencies happen. We train regularly to maintain skills in navigation, search tactics, K9 deployment, evidence preservation, emergency response and working in difficult environments. Search and rescue operations can take place at any time of day, in any season, and often in challenging environments. Our volunteers frequently respond in forests, fields, rural communities, waterways and severe weather conditions.
Being part of a search and rescue team requires commitment, training, teamwork and the ability to work in difficult conditions. It is not glamorous. It is often cold, muddy, exhausting and emotionally challenging. Every member of our team is dedicated to professionalism, compassion and service. We know families are often experiencing the worst day of their lives when they call for help. Our goal is to provide support, hope and skilled assistance when it is needed most. If you need assistance, would like to volunteer, or want to support our team in another way, please contact us.
